Welcome to GregFoote.net. If you've Googled me, you've probably learned that there is a former judge in Oregon with that name (me), who shows up on some conspiracy-theory websites (because of a high-profile case I heard several years ago), or gets mentioned for some eminently wise but well-publicized sentence I handed down. There are also several entries for an actor -- also me -- two whole entries on IMDb -- and playwright (me again). There is also a Greg Foote who is an environmental activist, a college soccer player, and someone who writes books about shore birds -- all of whom are not me, though we're probably distantly related and would probably enjoy meeting each other.
This page is primarily about my artistic side -- playwright and actor -- and presents an opportunity for shameless self-promotion. Thus,even though my actor rez is on the websites of my agent, Ryan Artists, and the Screen Actors Guild, I've included it here, in case some casting agent is trolling the net looking for middle-aged talent. Those other links on this page are for plays I've written, four of which have been produced, and all of which are available for production. If you're interested in reading or producing a script, just click on the contact link.
I may also, from time to time, include some notes about a play or film I've seen, but this won't be a blog, since I'm too lazy to update it, and would rather be working on scripts. So, if you see something you're interested in, shoot me an e-mail. If it's about court, you won't get an answer, because I'm done with all that. If it's hateful or threatening (you'd be surprised how many sick, twisted nut-jobs there are out there, yearning for attention), someone will hunt you down and break your legs.
